Sacrament of Penance
Confessions are heard
at 4:00pm on Saturdays and 12:30 on Fridays after mass.

Baptisms
Preparations are required. Please
call 262-4749 for an appointment to schedule
a baptism.

Marriages
Archdiocesan regulations: A
couple must contact the pastor as soon as the decision to marry is
made, BEFORE the date has been set. There is a six month
preparation period required. This must be completed before a
date is set.

Liturgy
Committee
This Committee helps prepare and
plan the Sunday and special liturgies for our parish worship.
This includes preparing ministers, servers, choirs as well as
decorating the worship area. Please call Marlys Verba at
262-8830 if you can help.

R.C.I.A.
(Rite of Christian Initiation of
Adults) Do you know someone interested in becoming a Catholic
Christian? This is an opportunity to ask questions.
Contact one of the Fathers at 262-4749 or Shirley Aleckson at
262-9654 about classes.

Choir
Practice
The large choir sings for the
Easter Vigil, Christmas midnight mass, and other special liturgies.
Smaller groups sing for Sunday masses and funerals. We need
more voices. Please talk to some of the choir members after
mass if you can help.

Pastoral Council
The council meets once a month as
announced. parishioners are welcome to attend the meetings.
There are seven elected members as well as the pastor and religious
director on the council.

Religious Education
Classes for all grades are help
September-May, Sunday mornings from 10:00am to 11:15am (between the
masses). Ministeral training & adult education are offered
throughout the year. Please call Marlys Verba at 262-8830 for
information and registration.

Church Cleaning
Each Family in the parish takes a
week at at time every couple of years to vacuum the church and dust
the pews. Watch the bulletin for your week.

Knights of Columbus
The local group includes men from
both the Kenai and Soldotna parishes. They are committed to
fraternity and service to the church. Meetings are held the
second Tuesday of the month at the Kenai parish. For more

Ladies Group
The women of the parish host
dinner celebrations and special receptions. They also support
a mission in Africa by having craft fairs. This group meets on
an as needed basis. Please call Pat Murray if you can help.

Friends of St. Francis
The forming group of lay
Franciscans are committed to follow the way of Jesus through prayer,
fellowship and service to the poor. Visitors are welcome to
their meetings. Call Violet VinZant at 262-3736.

Legion of Mary
Their Ministry is prayer and
visitation of the sick and homebound and also door to door visits in
the community. Weekly meetings are Monday at 9:00am.
Auxiliary members commit themselves to the daily rosary and all
members focus on serving Jesus through a special love for His
